It's probably wise to do this because the driver pack contains a bunch of stuff that applies to newer or different machines that may create more compatibility headaches. This ControlVault driver will specifically correct the Broadcom ush trouble, no matter if you have a finger print reader or not.
Once installed, the Broadcom ush item on the device manager will vanish and a new totally valid entry will appear called Control Vault. If you drill down, it will mention the finger print sensor under this item.
